When I walked in I was greeted which was nice. And they asked if I needed help which was considerate too. But.. They had no selection of freshwater shrimp. And the shrimp were extremely overpriced. When I tried to ask someone about ordering shrimp or what kind they shrugged at me...uh okay. If it's called xzotic shouldn't they have exotic shrimp available and a knowledgeable staff? The person helping me also wasn't able to tell the difference between types of shrimp(i.e. rili or cherry variations ) . Their plants were all messy in a big tank, nothing nice. Everything looked half dead and/or deteriorating. Their shrimp king denerrle food is more expensive then you can get online on Amazon with free shipping. I think they should maintain their prices competitively and/or have sales. Definetly need a better structure for their marketing and management. It is a really small store and 75% of it is saltwater - which isn't convenient for freshwater hobbiests. It's also very tight and uncomfortable and the freshwater fish selection was weak.
My first experience at Xzotic Aquztic worlds was a great time. I went on a day they where having an event for the local animal shelter. 100% of the proceeds they generated that day was being donated to the shelter. While I was looking at their amazing collection of corals and fish I was given free pizza and drinks. From the second I walked in I felt welcomed. Walked in just to look at coral and left with a pair of clownfish.
